I was on a panel about Pokémon Pokopia at Comic Con Portugal 2026

At Comic Con Portugal 2026, I joined Sara Meess and Nicole Concha on the Playforge Stage for a panel about Pokémon Pokopia, the new cozy life sim where you play as a Pokémon instead of catching one. The panel ran for about an hour.

We talked about what makes Pokopia different from the classic Pokémon games, the cozy gameplay rhythm (house building, transformation mechanics, the level of detail in the biomes), and what each of us wanted to see in possible future DLC.

Here’s the panel, up until the moment my camera ran out of battery (one of several technical humiliations of the weekend, which will have to wait for another post).

I Thought I Was a Plotter. I Was Wrong About My Own Brain.

I thought I was a plotter for years because my files were neat and my Notion pages were color-coded. I was wrong. Tidiness and plotting are different skills, and most writing advice starts from the wrong question. The question isn’t plotter or pantser, it’s which method matches the brain you actually have.
